Catalina Coachman
Catalina Coachman

After tent, canoe, and kayak camping for many years, we longed for the easier life - like enjoying air conditioners. This was our first recreation vehicle shown at our home park in Illinois, close to friends and relatives up north. This RV resort had a swimming pool, swimming lake, fishing and boating lake, tennis, horseshoes, miniature golf. Since we did not tow a vehicle, we usually rented a car for our stay.

Fleetwood Jamboree
Jamboree

Fleetwood Jamboree, our next RV. Some RV resorts had miles of paved roads, so we really enjoyed using our bicycles. Christmas 1999, leaving Val and Larry in central Texas early one morning heading to Sea Rim State Park.

HI-LO TowLite

This 17-foot Hi-Lo TowLite was the perfect travel trailer. We enjoyed it for almost six months on trips to Naples and Ormond Beach, Florida, and Austin, Texas. By a simple switch, it raised to the full height. It also had plenty of storage space.

GTRV Westy

After not RVing for 1½ years, we found this 2000 like-new GTRV Westy in Florida.
Our first trip with the Westy was a visit to Illinois for wild mushrooms. Some other trips were: Fort Clinch State Park, Rally Park in Tampa, Beachcomber Outdoor Resort, and Illinois 2003. See the trip index for a complete listing and links to specific destinations.
